Homes4Spelthorne is the principle way in which rented social housing in Spelthorne borough is allocated to housing register applicants. 

Learn more about the Allocations Policy which set out the qualification criteria for applicants who wish to be on their Housing register and the priority given to applicants who qualify to be on it.

Following a Government Inspection, a recommendation from MHCLG was made to increase the proportion of lets to homeless households. In alignment with our existing Housing Allocations policy, for a short period, we will directly let the majority of available family-sized homes to households who are already homeless. This temporary approach is to help us quickly reduce the use of costly nightly-paid accommodation and provide more stable housing for those in urgent need.

As a non-stock holding authority, we are reliant on a small number of nominations from housing associations. As the situation improves, we will return to a more balanced approach, supporting those most in need while continuing to meet the wider housing needs of our community.
